ESCAIDE 2007

ECDC and EPIET has jointly organised a conference in 2007, replacing the annual EPIET Scientific Seminar. This conference is called “The 2007 ‘European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology’ (ESCAIDE)” and was jointly organised by ECDC, EPIET, EAN and Tephinet EURO. The conference was held from Thursday 18 October until Saturday 20 October 2007.

Scholarship

A small number of competitive scholarships will be available for applicants from low-income settings in European region, who successfully submit an abstract to the ESCAIDE Conference.

The scholarship, offered by EPIET/EAN, is only available for applicants who are not able to obtain sponsorship from their employer (letter from employer required). Applicants for scholarships, who have had their abstract accepted for (oral or poster) presentation, can contact epietcourse.seminar@smi.ki.se to apply.

Please note that late breaker presenters are not eligible for travel grants.

A final decision will be made by the Conference Committee in close consultation with the party providing the scholarship. Feed-back will be given to applicants before 31.08.2007.
